A Laugh to Cry, by Miguel Azguime and Paula Azguime, is conceived as an initiatory journey — a passage through the night of darkness in order to reach the light, in this case the light of dawn, through the dream of those who dare to dream.
A Laugh to Cry affirms that within creation lies the possibility of renewal and, in the power of art, the refusal of silence.

A Laugh to Cry is visceral, intimate, and profoundly human.

ITINERÁRIO DO SAL - SALT ITINERARY

Salt Itinerary multimedia opera transcends theatrical and music conventions. Reflecting on Art and Madness, it revolves around languages, words as meaning and words as sound. Both are used as an extension of the body and melted in the construction of the staging as a tangible projection of the resonance of the words through sound and image.

THE LITTLE GIRL WATER DROPLET - A MENINA GOTINHA DE ÁGUA

The opera is about the water cycle, it tells a story of a water droplet travel from the sea and back to the sea and all the connections that can be made with nature, education for citizenship, climate change, sustainability and environment. The opera was designed for all audiences, but also as a pedagogical, interactive and exciting challenge both for the audi- ence and for thechildren participants is a musical and visual work binding contemporary aesthetics with some important matters of the human kind.

New op-era by Miguel Azguime, in which the composer, the poet and the performer once again converge into a single solo figure, embarking on a new exploration of the word as music and of music as word. A work in progress in search of a new becoming: a return to the word and its electronic transformations, a reflection on humankind and the world, where life is always the path and the preferable place.
